...a little more about me - Clare Pardoe
I originate from Dubai in the United Arab Emirates and currently work in Hampshire. I studied jewellery and silversmithing at the prestigious School of Jewellery in Birmingham Jewellery Quarter. I spent one year in Design Space.

My design and hand crafting has been featured in The Goldsmith and Retail Jewellery magazines for which I am very proud.
I was awarded two prizes at the British Silver Week in July 2009 and I have exhibited in Origin Craft Fair London. My jewellery range is stocked by Gill Wing and displayed in Lesley Craze & Brazen Galleries

I am inspired by the female form, my work is focused on satisfying the senses; the initial appeal of viewing the pieces draws one in to want to touch them.
I am particularly interested in the tactility of my designs, how it feels to hold in your hand and experience its form through your fingertips. My pieces are created using traditional silversmithing techniques, their sensual curves draw the eye in and evoke a desire to touch and experience them.
I strive to attain organic, human qualities within my work and this essence is transferred into the metal through the processes I use. Each piece is created to be treasured, with hidden details inside the jewellery, that aren't immediately obvious to the undiscerning eye.
